Born in Bad Segeberg, Germany, he was the son of the late Klaus and Helga (Schmidt) Reher.

The death of Andreas Reher of Bathurst occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst on September 29, 2024 at the age of 58.
Andreas will be very much missed and forever very much loved. 

 He was a student of Electronics Engineering Technology at Moncton CCNB and worked many years as a relay technician for NB Power. 

He will be remembered for being headstrong, kind hearted, and generous.  Family was always first for him.  Even a little more than a month ago, health issues could not keep him from attending his nephew Jeremy's wedding. We will forever remember him discoteka dancing, enjoying the wedding and talking about his adventures in his car.  Among his hobbies were playing cards, tinkering with cars, gadgets, and electronic devices.  He kept up to date with German news and talk shows via the internet. Stories about his "schlawiner" ways in his younger days are lore in the Reher family. In summer-- beach or pit fires with the boombox turned up and barbeque dinners were some of his favourite pastimes and he delighted in sharing those nights with friends and family. Andreas and his granddaughter Eloise were thick as thieves.  He was so proud of her and he doted on her with sweets. 

Andreas is survived by his daughter Anneliese Hamilton (Spencer) of Dalhousie; granddaughter Eloise; brother Sebastian (Birgit) of North Carolina and Florian (Carol) of New Mills, as well as his nieces Katharina, Kaitlyn (Mike), Emma,  and nephews Alexander (Ashley), Jeremy (Mick), Malcolm and Jacob.

The family would like to convey gratitude to the attentive care of EMTs, nurses, doctors and support staff at the Bathurst hospital.
October 19th from 12 to 3pm at 24435 Route 134 New Mills, Florian and Carol Reher will open up their home for a sharing of memories and food. Arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau funeral Home,  Black Point.
