The Life of a Rose
Late in the year 1952, in the wee hours of the morning in Arlington Hospital a baby girl was born. Her name was Rose, just like the most beautiful flower in its full bloom on a sunny day.
On a Sunday, late in the evening hours in Montross, Virginia, foin the Northern Neck of Virginia, Rose passed away suddenly at her home. and joined her parents, the late Arthur and the late Doris; her siblings Sam and Barb and her late husband Ralph.
Rose was a very loving woman who cared deeply about her nieces and nephews, her grandchildren, and her only son.
Left to cherish her memory and the happy times are her beloved and only son, Michael, Sr.; her nephew, Andrew, who was like a son to her and like a brother to Michael; and her grandchildren: Michael Jr., Morgan, Trinity, Andrew and Andrea; her sister Kathy Turner; her nephew Jonathan; and her nieces Shannon and Julie We all played a big part in her life and we are blessed for that. We all loved the beautiful Rose that watched us grow and bloom you with butterflies around you and will miss you, but we will never forget our love and the moments we had with you mom.
Rose was blessed with many talents, especially cooking, because of all of the love that she put into it. She was a hard worker, cooking for so many people, restaurants, and her family. Rose was considered to be the best cook in the kitchen. She retired after decades of work as a cook in various restaurants, and then enjoyed a ten-year retirement career as a cashier at Walmart, before she retired permanently. Rose was blessed with talented hands as well, and she was always crocheting blankets for friends and family and anyone who just asked. She loved watching her Christmas shows and Murder She Wrote. She was a generous and loving woman and will forever be remembered as such. She will be missed and never forgotten.
A private celebration of Rose’s life will be held by family at a later date.
