Robert Gene Boehm Obituary

In Loving Memory of Robert Gene Boehm

Robert Gene Boehm, a beloved member of the Pflugerville community, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. He was born on July 19, 1945, to George and Emagene Boehm. Robert's early years were spent in Rutersville, TX, before his family moved to LaGrange, where he graduated from LaGrange High School in 1963. Robert always looked over his younger brother (Rick) and Rick always looked up to him; just like now.

After earning his degree from Sam Houston State University in 1967, Robert proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1972. His career began at Southwestern Bell, where he met his wife, Helen, whom he always credited as a blessing in his life.

Robert retired as an accountant from Texas Parks and Wildlife and later from Travis County. He was a passionate classic car enthusiast, particularly fond of his fully restored 1939 Chevy Coupe, which he showcased at car shows and swap meets.

As a devout Christian, Robert was a charter member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and later an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Congregation in Pflugerville. He dedicated his time to serving on various church committees and ministries.

Robert is survived by his sons, Jason and daughter-in-law Jamie from Richardson, and Jeremy from Cedar Park, along with three cherished grandchildren: Elisabeth (Lizzie), Blake, and Lauryn. He also leaves behind his brother, Rick Boehm from Dallas, and Kim Thomas from Cedar Park as well as cousins and nieces.

A celebration of Robert's life will take place on Monday, October 14th at 11 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with a reception to follow in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Immanuel Lutheran Church, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.

Robert's warmth, kindness, and faith will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
