Irma Jean Evans, 76, of Smithton, died Sunday, September 29, 2024.  She was born March 9, 1948 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late James and Irma (Anderson) Boot.  Irma attended Barren Run Methodist Church and had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  She enjoyed her many years in banking.  A loving wife and mother, she loved music, photography, and was generous with her quilting.  Surviving are three children, Darin Evans and wife, Paula, Douglas Evans and wife, Diana, and Shannon Walko and husband, Mike; five grandchildren, Derek (Andrea) and Alfred Evans, Dallas (Clara) and Dylan (Hannah) Evans, and Carly Walko; three great grandchildren, Luella and McKenna Evans, and Walker Evans; and a sister, Amy Washington and husband, William.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David Brooks Evans; and a brother, Jim Boot.  Visitation and services were private.  Arrangements entrusted to the J.
