Carolyn Joyce (Kostreva) Tachick passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 29, 2024 with family by her side. She was born April 8, 1936 to the late Emery and Esther (Tachick) Kostreva. Surviving siblings are Audrey (Bob) Plaskiewicz, Sharon Wachal and Rodney Kostreva. She was united in marriage to Irvin Tachick on September 18, 1954. Together they have 7 children.
She dairy farmed with her husband, while raising a family, enjoying gardening, cooking and canning the garden harvest. She enjoyed sewing, cake decorating and fishing in Canada. She spent time reading the Bible and loved getting to know her Lord and Savior. Psalm 91 was one of her favorites. God’s word was her joy.
Surviving are Carolyn’s children, Fay Pusick, Sharon (Mitch) Gusick, Stephen (Edith) Tachick, Candace Bakken, Phillip Tachick, Cora Tachick and Timothy Tachick; 18 grandchildren, Stacie (Geoff) Seefeldt, Jodie (Aaron) Westphal, Vail (Brian) Pierce, Justin (Jodie) Pusick, Chris (Elizabeth) Tachick, Rebeca (Daniel) Alvarado, Kyle (Stephanie) Tachick, Brian Tachick, Tara (Jason) Bruss, Eric (Karissa) Bakken, Erin (Kyle) Anderson, Kevin Bakken, Ammen, Noah, Amora Tachick, Crystal Kostreva, Andrew (Kaydi) Kostreva and Katelyn Kostreva; and 33 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Irvin Tachick; son-in-law, Ron Pusick; daughter-in-law, Tammie Tachick; and a brother, Russell Kostreva.
A Private Service was held.
