Charlie will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

After a long struggle with dementia, Charlie passed peacefully at peopleCare Meaford , on Sunday, September 29, 2024 formerly of Priceville in his 73rd year. Loving father of Iain (Andria) of Woodstock and Kyle (Jackie) of Markdale. Cherished grandfather of Dominic and Emma. Charlie will be missed by his brother Barry (Moria) of Georgetown.

Charlie was born November 28, 1951 to Charles and Nellie Kilgour in Aberdeen, Scotland. When he was young, the family moved to the GTA where he attended Downsview High School . Later in life he got a job working for the Toronto Transit Commission where he drove streetcar, bus then to the subway before becoming an instructor. Charlie retired with 30years of service. After his service Charlie was a busy guy bartending and catering functions, truck driving for a few years and driving coach buses. In true Scottish fashion, Charlie played in the TTC Pipes and Drums Band, he played Old Timer’s Hockey, Baseball, was an OFATV trail warden and loved to play darts at the Flesherton-Markdale Legion later on in his years. His great laugh and smile will be missed dearly.

A celebration of Charlie’s life will take place at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception, in Flesherton on October 12th 2024 2-4pm. Cremation has taken place. In Lieu of flowers family ask to surround your family and ours with love and cherish everyday.
