Leaone Fay Crock Obituary

Leaone Fay Crock, 82, of Snow Shoe, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Embassy at Hearthside Rehab Center in State College. Born on September 3, 1942, in Lock Haven, she was the only daughter of Leo T. Bomboy, Sr and E. Fay (Runkle) Bomboy. On February 18, 1967, in Howard, she married Richard Crock. Richard passed on October 3, 1979.


Leaone was a 1960 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. She was an insurance agent for Washington National Life, which is now Transamerica Life, retiring after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Snow Shoe United Methodist Church. Her other jobs included office manager for McClanahans, working at TipiDump and billing for the local water company.


Leaone held positions for the Snow Shoe Ambulance, including an EMT, for over 30 years. She also was a member of the Bald Eagle Fish and Game Association in Mt. Eagle. She sold raffle tickets for any organization that asked. Leaone enjoyed playing bingo, flower gardening, dancing, cooking, and baking pies. She was also known to socialize with anyone.


Leaone loved to volunteer and help others. In recent years, she loved throwing parties for friends, neighbors and family and watching her grandchildren grow up.


Leaone was rarely without the company of her dog. Throughout the years, this included Gretchen, Sheba, Thor and, most recently, Shadow.


Leaone is survived by her three daughters: Christine Fay Koleno and her husband, Randy, of Morrisdale, Lisa R. Spangler and her husband, Joel, of Wrightstown, PA, and Paula R. Crock and her husband Troy, of Van Etten, NY; four grandchildren: Justin Koleno (Mariah), Jeffrey Koleno (Allison) Zachary Spangler, Jacob Spangler, and four great grandchildren: Kiah, Aubrey, Jordan, and Alexander.


She is also survived by her companion of many years, Gary G. Parks of Snow Shoe; two brothers: Leo T. Bomboy, Jr, and Robert W. Bomboy and his wife, Ruby, both of Howard, and numerous nieces and nephews.


Along with her parents and husband, Leaone was preceded in death by a brother, Earl R. Bomboy and two sisters in-law: Linda Bomboy and Marilyn Bomboy.


There will be a public visitation on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 6-8 pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore Street, Snow Shoe. Funeral service will be on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Catherine Dittman officiating. Burial will follow at Eagle Cemetery in Boggs Township.
