Joel Peskay, 85, of Easton, CT passed away on October 2nd, 2024. He passed away peacefully at home, in the company of family members and his beloved dog, Rafi. Joel was born on June 2nd, 1939. He was beloved by many, many people. A mensch in every sense of the word, he brought joy to all who knew him.

Joel is survived by his wife of 58 years, Vida, his daughter, Elissa, his sons, Joshua and Matthew, his grandchildren Charlie, Lila and Ella, and his daughters-in-law, Jessica and Elizabeth.

Joel was a PhD Psychologist with multiple doctorates, a competitive swimmer into his 70’s, completed multiple marathons and triathlons and would have preferred to have died suddenly of a heart attack after having just won a major swimming race.

A graveside service will occur at 11AM on Sunday, October 6th at Mount Hope Cemetery at 50 Jackson Avenue, Hastings on Hudson, NY 10706. A friends and family gathering will follow at 2PM
