Matti Dega of Lakeside, CA passed away on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024 at Sharp Grossmont Hospital.

Matti was born in Iraq. He was the son of Behnam Dega and Khatoon Dawood.

He is survived by his:

Wife, Teodora

8 Children: 2 Sons. and 6 Daughters

Sons; Hadeer, and Atheer

Daughters; Halah, Ilham, Hiam, Ahlam, Linda, and Loleen

20 Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Grandchildren

The Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 4th, 2024 at 11:00 am in St. Paul's Syrian Orthodox Church 8824 Cottonwood Ave. Santee, CA 92071, with Graveside Services to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego, CA.

The family will be hosting a mercy meal in his honor from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Golden Palace 820 Jamacha Rd El Cajon, CA 92019.
