John Lee, 78, of Russellville, died Monday, September 30, 2024, at Stella Manor Nursing and Rehab. He was the grandson and adopted son of the late Delbert Lee and Nora Lee Langford, and son of the late Juanita Lee Edwards and John Bernerd Woodson. He was retired from the Arkansas Department of Human Service for over 34 years, and an avid fan of the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns: he hardly ever missed a home game. He loved the nature, outdoors, and all it represented, and spent many hours out on the trails. He was of the Christian faith. John was retired from the Arkansas Department of Human Service where he worked for over 34 years

He was also preceded in death by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by numerous friends, including Dixie Cook of London, Paul Ray of Van Buren, Jim Parish and cousin David Lee, both of Russellville, and Charles and Linda Cochran of London.

Graveside service and burial will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, October 4, at Oakland City Cemetery in Russellville under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor may be made to any benevolent organization of choice.
