Edna Burgess 82, of Van Buren passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Senior Center in Van Buren. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Maude Ella (Smith) Taylor, her husband John Burgess, one son Richard Bagley, three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be 10AM, Saturday October 5, 2024, at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

She is survived by two daughters Judy Taylor and Tammy Simmons both of Van Buren; two sons Carl Bagley and Mike Burgess of Fort Smith; ten grandchildren Andre Lewis and fiancé’ Breanna of Van Buren, Kyra Lewis and puppy Porkie of Barling, Katie Godwin and husband Blake of Van Buren, Christopher Bagley of Van Buren, AJ Abel and wife Kasi of Alma, Matthew Bagley and wife Megan of Fort Smith, Shawn Bagley of Fort Smith, Damon Capps of Wynne, Arkansas, Duane Roachell of Eugene, Oregon, Emmie Burgess of Fort Smith; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; many nieces and friends; one special friend Linda and her fur baby Peanut.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Friday, October 4, 2024, from 5-7PM at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Bagley, A.J. Abel, Andre Lewis, Christopher Bagley, Shawn Bagley and Blake Godwin.

Honorary Pallbearers are Senior Inn of Van Buren patrons.
