Edna Burgess 82, of Van Buren passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Senior Center in Van Buren. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Maude Ella (Smith) Taylor, her husband John Burgess, one son Richard Bagley, three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be 10AM, Saturday October 5, 2024, at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Friday, October 4, 2024, from 5-7PM at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.

Edna is survived by her four children Carl Bagley and wife Frankie of Van Buren, Arkansas; Tammy Simmons and husband Allen of Van Buren, Arkansas. Judy Taylor and husband John of Van Buren, Arkansas; Mike Burgess and wife Shawna of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and Ten grandchildren, Andre Lewis and fiancé Breanna of Van Buren, Arkansas; Kyra Lewis and puppy Porkie of Barling, Arkansas; Katie Godwin and husband Blake of Van Buren; Christopher Bagley of Van Buren, Arkansas; A.J. Abel and wife Kasi of Alma, Arkansas; Matthew Bagley and wife Megan of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Shawn Bagley of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Damon Capps of Wynne, Arkansas; and Durane Roachell of Eugene, Oregon; Emmie Burgess of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Eighteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and friends; one special friend Linda and her fur baby Peanut. Edna is preceded in death by her parents, William and Maude Ella (Smith) Taylor, her husband John Burgess, one son Richard Bagley, three sisters and four brothers.
