Dolores S. (Andreae) Tischendorf, age 91,  of Eau Claire passed away Tuesday, October 1st at Grace Edgewood Assisted Living in Altoona, Wisconsin.

Dolores was born on April 28th, 1933 to Edward and Grace (Helvey) Andreae in Spirit, Wisconsin. After graduating from Normal School in Medford, she taught grades 1-8 in a one-room school. Dolores then married Donald Tischendorf of Dorchester, raising five children there (Jimmy, Peggy, Paul, Chris, Rodger). When the children were older, she sold Avon. She worked the rest of her career with the United States Postal Service first as a clerk in Dorchester, and then a rural carrier. Time off was spent reading, traveling, camping, gardening, and on long walks. Dolores was a member of the Dorchester Lioness Club and also volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels when she and Don retired in Tomahawk. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband and firstborn son.

A celebration of her life will take place at 11 am on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Hulke Family Funeral Home with Kurt Mattison officiating.  Memorial visitation will take place at the funeral home on that day from 10 am until the time of service. Following the service, a luncheon will take place at the Eau Claire Masonic Temple, 616 Graham Avenue, Eau Claire, WI 54701.
