Sallie Jane Victoria Hall Nichols, age 84 of Trenton, NC, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, after an extended illness.

Sallie was born May 25, 1940, in Chesterfield, SC. She was a daughter of the late Alvin and Rose Turner Hall. Sallie worked many years in the garment industry. She enjoyed cooking, making quilts and clothes. Sallie also enjoyed helping around the community. She enjoyed the outdoors. She liked gardening and fishing. Sallie was a loving, kind woman who never met a stranger. She loved her family and cherished her time with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Sallie was preceded in death by three sons, Robert Boyle, James Taylor, Johnny R. Taylor; a daughter, Rosa Hargrove; two grandchildren, Candy Purifoy and James E. Hargrove; her siblings, Raeford “Bobby” Hall, Charles Hall, Beulah Ward, and Dalphine Quick.

Sallie is survived by her daughter, Denine Taylor of Trenton, NC; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Hickory Grove Church Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel.
