Shirley R. Killian, age 90, passed away from natural causes on September 30th, 2024 in Myerstown, PA. Born July 7th, 1934 in Valley View, PA, she was the daughter of Calvin Bixler and Susan Kissinger-Bixler, and the step-daughter of John O’Page. She was the wife of Henry Killian Sr. for 47 years and a resident of Myerstown for just as long. Shirley was an avid seamstress and a devoted attendee to her flower beds, doing so in her later years with the help of her grandchild Sabrina Bottomstone. When not playing with her Pomeranian Coco or reading one of her well-read Danielle Steel books, she could be found on the porch with her husband in her rocking chair watching the birds at her birdfeeders. She enjoyed baking and never turned down an opportunity to enjoy a slice of pizza. She will be remembered fondly and with much love by her surviving family and friends. She will be missed by her husband, Henry, and their children Andrea Weaber (Ronald Weaber Jr.) and Richard Matter (Maria Matter), her sister Faith Hoffman, her grandchildren Sabrina
Bottomstone, Angie Hatfield, Troy Fry, Becky Strauser, Shawn Schnoke, Richard Matter Jr., Noah Weaber, and her many great-grandchildren. Her daughter, Gloria Jean, and five of her brothers and four of her sisters are all deceased. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Shirley to the Humane Society of Lebanon County.
