Lydia Rodriguez Ramos, 86, passed away on Monday, September 30th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with chronic lung illnesses. Lydia was born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, and came to the United States when she was 18, settling in Jersey City, New Jersey. She worked as a seamstress most of her life. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and much love in abundance. A friend to many. She was a cherished member of the community leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
Lydia leaves behind to cherish her memory her three children, Betsy, Wilfredo, Edgar, and daughter-in-law Millie; her six brothers, Luis, Raul, Carlos, Heriberto Miguel, and Jose; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and many nephews and nieces. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend the Visiting on Monday, 10/7, form 5:00 - 9:00 pm at the funeral home. We shall gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, 10/8, at 9:30 am before we depart at 10:30 am for Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, for the interment.
