Marguerite T. Sylvestre, 82, beloved wife of Edward N. Sylvestre passed away Monday evening, September 30, 2024, at Hartford Hospital.  She was born June 6, 1942, in Putnam, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Theresa (Brodeur) LeClair and had resided in Jewett City, Wauregan and Plainfield for most of her life.

Marguerite was a matriarch.  She was employed as a nurse for over forty years.  She was a member of the Ladies Guild.  Her fondest memories were boating with her husband Ed and their Perfect Storm experience together.  She loved her quality time with her family very much.

Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Renee Dzurenka; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Marguerite was predeceased by two sons, Marc and Peter Sylvestre.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM in St. John the Apostle Church, Plainfield.  Burial will follow in All Hallows Cemetery, Moosup.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the family.
