Linda A. Franklin, of Panama City Beach, FL. passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024.


She was born on, none of your business, in Anniston, AL.


Linda graduated from Port St. Joe High where she was the captain of the cheerleading squad. She was baptized at Immanuel Baptist Church, and she worked her first job for St. Joe Telegraph Company. Linda loved diamonds, glitter and she always had her hair and nails done. She loved to travel especially to Biloxi, she loved fishing, animal print, cowboy hats and hats in general, country music, meeting new people at restaurants and living on the water.


Mrs. Franklin is preceded in death by her parents, Claude Coleman Smith and Willie Virginia Denton-Smith; grandmother, Ola Addie Denton; grandfather, William Martin Denton; husband, Ronald Crozier Franklin; son, Ronald Clayton Franklin.


Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Teresa (Ralph) Dyer and Virginia (Ginger) Franklin; grandchildren, Michaelean (Patrick) Stewart, Katlyn Franklin, Alexandra Dyer and Cameryn Boswell; great grandchildren, Markanon Riley, Reece Boswell, Grayson Stewart, Rylann Arts, Cash Blount and Zayd Arts; brothers, William (“Coleman”) Smith, Lonnie Benjamin (“Benny”) Smith and Herman Eugene Danford (Donna Faye). She is also survived by Louis Sexton, Dawn Paramore and Bill Denton.


A graveside service for Mrs. Franklin will be conducted at 10:00 AM CST. on Friday, October 4, 2024, in the Pleasant Rest Cemetery with Rev. Donovan Cox officiating.


In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
