Sadie Irene Bice, age 82, of Ogdensburg, NY, passed away on Tuesday night, October 1, 2024 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Per her request there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.

Sadie is survived by her children, Penny (Keith) VanOrnum of Hammond, NY, Scott Allen (Gail) Bice of Madrid, NY, Nicole Lynn Bice of Hammond, NY, Mark Bice of Ogdensburg, NY, and Asil Bice of Potsdam, NY; her sisters, Patricia L. Webb of Dekalb Junction, NY, and Edwina (Anthony) Zarcado of Chicago, IL; a brother, Roy Denesha of Ogdensburg, NY; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sadie is predeceased by a sister, Martha Ann Denesha and two brothers, Ronald Guy Denesha and Francis Denesha, and a daughter, JoAnne Bice, who passed in 1965.

Sadie was born on December 21, 1941, in Lisbon, NY, the daughter of the late Sherman “Guy” and Marie J. (Bagnato) Denesha. She attended Madrid-Waddington Central School. Sadie married Asil R. Bice, Sr. on April 18, 1962, in Russell, NY, they later separated. He predeceased her on January 14, 2002. Sadie was a homemaker all her life.

Sadie enjoyed the comfort of a good book, putting together puzzles, and spending time with her friends and family outdoors whenever possible.
