Joyce M. Showers, 89, of Watsontown, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at Watsontown Health & Rehabilitation Center.  

Born September 11, 1935 in Milton, she was the daughter of the late Learon and Margaret (Spacht) Reeder.  On September 11, 1953 she married Richard G. Showers and together they celebrated 62 years of marriage until his passing in 2015.

She was a graduate of Milton High School.  Joyce worked at various local department stores and enjoyed crafting.

Surviving are her two sons: Rick Showers, and Anthony Showers and his wife Sonia, of Milton; two daughters: Vickie Phillips and her companion Sandy Walls, of Montgomery, and Amber Delcamp and her husband Darwin, of Mifflinburg; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her three brothers: Lawrence, Phares, and Robert Reeder; and one sister: Sandy Trutt.

There will be a graveside service held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 4, at Milton Cemetery.
