James Allen "Jim" Moyer, 83, of Luray, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab.
He was born on June 4, 1941, in Luray and was a son of the late Raymond T. Moyer and Ina Pearl Judd Moyer.
Jim attended Luray High School. He had worked as a custodian at Page Memorial Hospital for 17 years and also worked at Shen-Paco as well. He enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia.
Jim is survived by a sister, Anna Lou Moyer of Luray. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth Ray Moyer, Carroll E. Moyer, Robert T. Moyer and Glyndon E. Moyer; five sisters, Elsie Griffith, Dorothy Purdham, Betty June Lawson, Kathleen Graves and Shirley S. Long; and two half brothers, Douglas Moyer and Nelson R. Moyer.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 4, at the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray by Pastor Andy Seastrom.
