Jeffrey Allen Schmid, 65, of Pocono Lake, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at home.

Born in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late George Schmid and the late Betty Jane (Landmesser) Schmid.

Jeffrey worked as a mechanic doing small engine repair for many years. He also used to own and operate the former Pocono Bike and Sled in Pocono Lake. He loved snowmobiling and model planes. Having an engineer's mind, he was always tinkering and fixing things. Jeffrey was kind-hearted, loved animals and would do anything for those around him, even giving the shirt off his back. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed and remembered by all his loving family and friends.

Jeffrey is survived by his son, Alan Fletcher Schmid; his ex-wife and lifelong friend, Lorraine Schmid; a niece, Leslee Saloom; two great-nieces, Rhya and Samara, one great-nephew, John; and his beloved cat, Cleo. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Wayne Schmid.

A celebration of life memorial gathering will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 10 at Faith Lutheran Church, 550-PA 940, Pocono Lake.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
