BARRE- Jeanne Allen,86,of Barre, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29,2024 at home.
Jeanne grew up in Barre, attended Endicott College (where she majored in sun tanning and teaching) and started her own preschool where she taught for many years. Jeanne was an avid member of Friday Club, Barre Congregational Church serving on many committees, and red hats society. Jeanne was the matriarch of her family.
She leaves her family who she loves more than stars in the sky… 2 daughters Jamie & husband Joe Orszulak and Wendy Keans and partner Joe Sokol; a son Robert Keans; her love, Leo Landry; her grandchildren Dylan, Kylie, and Jillian as well as her great grandchildren Macie and Myles. Most importantly to her, Jeanne was a proud Nana. Jeanne was ‘Nana’ to most people, whether they were blood or not. She joins her son David Keans.
Jeanne will be missed by many in Barre where she was known for being a fashionista and for her vivacious personality.
