Wanda Perdue Putman age 77 of Brooks, Georgia passed away Monday September 30, 2024.
Wanda was born in Griffin, Georgia on October 7, 1946. Her parents, B.F. Perdue and Edna Dunn Perdue and siblings, Alfred Perdue, James Perdue, Annette Tyson, Carlton Perdue, Billy Perdue, and Ronnie Perdue, all preceded her in death. Wanda owned and operated her own nail salon business and worked at Studio 16 Salon and was a member of Faith Fellowship church. She volunteered a lot at Crescent Elementary and Rehoboth Middle Schools, and at Spading High as well. Her favorite pastime was hosting the Easter family gathering and making sure the food and games were always perfect. When Easter was over, she was onto planning the next event whether it was a birthday party, what they were going to eat and play the next Easter, or the next trip as she loved to travel. You always knew she loved you because of the Big Red Kisses on the side of your face.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Putman; daughter, Missie (Tommy) Wyatt; granddaughter, Charly Wyatt; lifelong childhood friends, Lucy Vaughn and Joyce Wilson; and many nieces and nephews who were all special to her.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, followed by funeral service in the chapel. Interment will then be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
