Jacqueline "Kay" Huber Obituary

Jacqueline "Kay" Huber, 63, returned home to her heavenly father on Monday, September 30, 2024. Born on January 24, 1961 in Louisville, KY, daughter of Harold Thompson and Wilma Jean Purvis.


In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her sisters, Yvonne Purvis and Joyce O'Bryan. Survivors include her loving husband of 31 years, Roy C. Huber ; daughter, Crystal Moser (Michael) and Tiffany Montgomery (Twjuan Sellers); grandchildren, Hayley Watson, Steven "Jacob" Watson, Kaelin Montgomery, Mya Montgomery, and Serenity Montgomery; nieces, Nicole Shanks (PJ Tucker) and Destiny Carey (Brandin); nephew, Timothy Purvis (Wanda); great niece's, Mickalla Purvis and Samantha O'Bryan; great nephew's, Robbie Purvis and Charles "Lucas" O'Bryan; and a host of church family and friends.


Kay worked as a Sales and Catering Director for Breckinridge Inn Hotel for 31 ½ years before it closed. She most recently worked as a Patient Access Coordinator for Baptist Health Louisville before being diagnosed with AL Amyloidosis. She was a longtime member of Farmdale Baptist Church.


Kay's life was a testament to the power of love, faith and family. Her legacy of generosity and compassion for her family will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.


Her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 2:00pm at Farmdale Baptist Church, 1238 Durrett Lane, Louisville, KY, 40213. 


 In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Baptist Health Louisville Foundation with donations specifically going to the Consultants in Blood Cancer/Disorders Clinic or the WHAS Crusade for Children. The CBC office took exemplary care of Kay during her fight with AL Amyloidosis and she loved the staff there. She also enjoyed participating in WHAS Crusade for Children donation activities with her husband and family.
