Nancy Kay Ciancimino Obituary

Nancy Kay Ciancimino

June 12, 1955- September 30, 2024

Nancy Kay Ciancimino, 69, of Caldwell (rural Mukwonago), passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2024 following a long and courageous battle with brain cancer.

Nancy was born June 12, 1955, the first of six children born to the late Eugene and Doris Sherry of Waukesha. She was a 1973 graduate of Waukesha South High School and was in the top 2 percent of her graduating class of more than 800 students.

On Sept. 25, 1976 she married James Ciancimino. Nancy retired after many years of employment with Home Supply and Bliffert Lumber of Waukesha. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their many events. She also was a lifelong Packers fan, and she and Jim enjoyed going to the Tuesday discount movies each week. Nancy visited all 50 states except for Alaska. She and Jim satisfied their love of history, antiques and old homes by purchasing and working to restore their historic home in Caldwell.

Nancy is survived by her husband; son Christopher (Jessica) Ciancimino of Oak Creek; grandchildren Keira and Kinsey; siblings Sue (Terry) Stevens, Mark (Laurel) Sherry, Karen (Steve) Kulinski, Julie (Geno) Galbari and Mike (Kris) Sherry; father-in-law Thomas Ciancimino; sisters-in-law Suzanne Ciancimino and Cindy (Mike) Fischer; brothers-in-law Tom Jr. and Tony; and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law, Kay Ciancimino.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9, from 9:00 AM, until the time of Service at 11:00 AM at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 380 Bluemound Rd., (Hwy J & JJ), Waukesha. Graveside services will follow in Caldwell.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Hospital.

The family would like to thank all the hospice workers as well as Suzanne and Laurel for their care of Nancy in her final months which allowed her to remain in her beloved home.

How Nancy lived her life with love and kindness, even through a close to two-decade battle with her cancer, will remain her legacy and a lasting inspiration to all her family and friends who loved her dearly.
