Helen Dilts, 85, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024 at Geneva General Hospital, with her loving and supportive family by her side.
Friends and family may call Friday, October 4 from 4 – 7 PM. A funeral mass will be Saturday October 5 at 1 PM at Saint Mary’s Church, Waterloo. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
Helen had requested memorial contributions be directed to either; Saint Mary’s Church, 25 Center Street. Waterloo, NY 13165 or Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 East River Street, Waterloo, NY 13165.
Helen was born on January 14, 1939 in Waterloo, New York the daughter of the late, George and Louise Murphy-Dilts. She was a 1956 graduate of Canandaigua Academy. She worked as a Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) at Taylor Brown Memorial Hospital, Geneva General Hospital and LifeCare. She was a member of the American Association of Medical Transcriptionists.
Her first love was her family. Her other interests included, dancing, reading, animals, walking in the rain, thunderstorms, crossword puzzles, amateur writing and poetry.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Judy Levock of Naples,FL, and Sandy (Anthony) Vasquez of Geneva; her sisters Kathleen Joyce of Clyde and Eileen (Bob) Rouland of Geneva; grandchildren Jamie Campbell, Benjamin (Jacqueline) Vasquez, three great grandchildren Kylee Kolbash, Paisley Sembach, and Catalina Vasquez; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Helen is predeceased by her sister Geraldine Sondgeroth and her granddaughter Lauren Vasquez.
