Larry Allen Kraemer Obituary

Larry Allen Kraemer, resident of Shelby Township, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, on October 1, 2024. He was 82 years of age. Larry was born on September 11, 1942, son of the late Charles and Alda Kraemer.


To know Larry was to love him. He was a man of great character with a sense of humor that lit up every room. Known for his playful jokes and infectious smile, Larry brought joy to those around him. His love for classic cars, especially his cherished Bellaire and Thunderbirds, was well known, and he enjoyed spending countless hours working on them. His yard, always immaculately kept, was a testament to his hardworking nature and attention to detail.

Larry was a dedicated employee of UPS, working as a driver for over 20 years. He approached every job with integrity and ensured everything was done right. 


Beyond his professional life, Larry found joy in his role as an elder, usher, and handyman at Bethel Christian Church, where he was an active and valued member of the congregation. His love for the Lord and his community was unwavering.


Above all, Larry cherished his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. His wonderful personality, coupled with his endearing stubbornness, made him unforgettable to all who knew him. Larry’s legacy of humor, hard work, and love for his family will live on in the hearts of many.

Larry will be deeply missed, but his light will continue to shine brightly through the countless lives he touched.


Larry is the husband of Merle and the late Linda; cherished father of David (Shannon) Kraemer, Lynn (Keith) Stevens, Lisa (Alphonso) Brown, Thomas McSwain, Christina (Michael) Biechler and Elke Usrey; beloved grandfather of Garrett, Colter, Dillian, Alivia, Macardi, Eli, Brooke, Nolan, Ethan, Lola, Royce and Ady; great grandfather of Isaiah; and dearest brother of Charlene (Bill) Williamson.


Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden on Thursday from 5PM – 8PM. A funeral will be held at Bethel Christian Church, 13200 E Eleven Mile Rd, Warren, MI 48089 on Friday at 11AM with additional visitation starting at 10AM. Share memories with family at www.faulmannwalsh.com
