Swanda Sue “Susie” Claypool Sparks, age 64, of Cynthiana, KY, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024. She was born in Kenton County, KY on January 7, 1960, to the late Charlie Claypool and Pearl May Burchette. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, William “Bub” Claypool, and Carl “Duke” Claypool; sister, Della “Jane” Herrington; and special friends, Liska Harrison, and Cindy Clark.
She is survived by her husband, James Sparks Sr., sons, James (Katie) B. Sparks Jr., Kevin (Crystal) A. Sparks, and Bradley (Crystal) C. Sparks; daughter, Susan (Chris) Hill; brothers, Charlie Claypool, and Johnny Claypool; sister, Mabel Jump; grandchildren, Austin (Faith) Hill, Kaleb (Bailey) Hill, Alexis Jane Hill, Grace Katherine Sparks, Haley Nicole Sparks, Kevin Allen Sparks Jr., Bradley Connor Sparks, Morgan Brookshire Sparks, Amber Smith, Brittany Smith, Olivia Spencer, and Bailey Spencer; five great-grandchildren, and one on the way; multiple nieces and nephews; special nieces, Melissa Mae Winkle, and Nancy Herrington; special lifetime friends, Diane Feeback and her son, Michael Feeback, Ronnie Feeback, and Chris Hill.
Funeral services will be Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Ware Funeral Home with visitation Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 5:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. also at Ware Funeral Home. Bro. Bobby Duncan will preside over services. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Austin Hill, Kaleb Hill, Paul Claypool, Kevin Sparks, James Sparks Jr., Bradley Sparks, and Dootsie Claypool. Honorary Pallbearers will be Quinton Hall, Tyler Hall, Blake Winkle, Connor Sparks, Kevin Sparks Jr., and Todd Hall.
