Robert “Bob” John Conn of Crandon passed away at his home on September 29th, 2024. He was 85 years old. He was born March 22, 1939, to Loyal Conn and Mabel Ison. Bob graduated from Crandon High School in 1957, where he then went on to join the army.

In 1960, Bob married the love of his life, Glenda Adams. Together they had four beautiful children. He drove dump truck for a living along with running his own business. One of Bob’s greatest joys was racing, so much so that he eventually started racing himself. Bob lived a very full, and sometimes eventful life, but that is what made his stories so fun to listen to. He enjoyed traveling and once he retired, both him and Glenda went traveling every chance they got. They cherished their adventures together. At one point, they moved to Florida and opened an ice cream shoppe. Later they moved back and opened another in Elcho. In addition to racing and traveling, Bob was a huge sports fan, with a special interest in the Packers and Brewers making sure to watch every game. He also loved watching his grandchildren participate in their sporting events. One thing was certain…they could always count on him to be there cheering them on.

Bob was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great grandpa. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him

Robert is survived by his wife, Glenda Conn, son Alan (Sherry) Conn, grandchildren: Robert (Trista) Conn, Keith Conn, Michael(Ashley) Conn, Whitney (Zach) Higgins, Cory Conn, and Megan Quade. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.

Bob is proceeded in death by his parents, sons Eddy Conn & Todd Conn, daughter Michelle Conn, and great granddaughter Amber.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Military Honors will be conducted in the funeral home parking lot prior to burial. Burial will be held at Crandon Lakeside Cemetery.
