William Jasper, 84, a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on October 1, 2024.
A visitation will be held in his honor on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park, from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. A repass will follow immediately after the service at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park.
He is survived by his sons, Andra K. Howard (Charlie), William T. Jasper, and Therman S. Jasper; daughters, Chalinda T. Ray, Phyllis T. Jeff (Tommy), Berthanell Jones, and Christine Jones; sisters in law, Loretta Jasper, Rosemary Jasper, and Emma Daigs; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie S. Jasper; parents, Elijah Jasper Sr. and Thelma V. Jasper; daughter, Heather T. Jasper; brothers, Kermit Nash, Raymond Jasper Sr., Elijah Jasper Jr., and Stewart Jasper Sr.; sisters, Cloteal Warren, Myrtle Aubert, Mary Davis, Martha Nash, Earline Carter, Glenda Holliday, and Lucille Carter; and 2 grandchildren.
William worked as a self-employed truck driver for WCJ Trucking for many years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. William was a loving, devoted father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren.
