Leander Branch, affectionately known as "Big Boy", was born on April 2nd, 1962 in Washington, North Carolina to Willie  Leander Branch and Mildred Mae Knight Branch. He departed this earthly life on Monday, September 30th, 2024.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 6th, 2024 at 1:00pm at Southside High School, 5700 NC-33, Chocowinity, NC 27817. Family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home, 247 Godley Road, Grimesland NC 27837.

Leander received his formal education from the Beaufort County Schools system. Leander immediately began working upon graduating from Washington High School. He later obtained a diploma in Personal Computer Repair from Foley-Belsaw Institute in 2002.

Leander was a loving man who enjoyed traveling, cooking, grilling, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Leander Branch was preceded in death by both of his parents; Willie and Mildred Branch, a loving wife of 28 years; Sheila Thigpen Branch, and an infant son; Leander Branch, Jr., two sisters; Willie Mildred Branch and Augustine Branch Woolard. He was also preceded in death by one brother; Preston Branch.

Leander leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife; Myra B. Branch of the home, Three stepchildren; Takiesha Barnes (Stewart) of Chocowinity, NC, Chiquita Graham of Greenville, NC, Monica Willis (Kennis) of Grimesland, NC; Eight step-grandchildren; Miyah Hines, Kieran Barnes, Antonie Blount, Trevon Williams, Joshua Langley, Nicholas Langley, Jayden Barnes, Kimora Willis; and a very special step-great-grandson, Gabriel Hines.

Leander also leaves to cherish his memories one brother; Jerome Branch (Beverly) of Grimesland, NC; two sisters; Evonn Rouse (William) of Chocowinity, NC, Josephine Branch of Greenville, NC; two sisters-in-love, Regina Branch and Cynthia Tucker, both of Grimesland, NC; three brothers-in-love, Bobby Thompson (Gloria) of Hinesville, GA, Vinson Barnes of Washington, NC, Victor Barnes (Kim) of Grifton, NC, Dewey Revis (Erma) of Rocky Mount, NC;

Three special friends, Bobby Moore, Allen Clay, and Erbie Bullock; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends to whom he loved dearly.
