Makayla Sue Bauman, 18, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024. She was born on Sunday, October 23, 2005 in Indianapolis, IN to parents, Scott and Jennifer Bauman.
Makayla was known for her vibrant, outgoing personality, lighting up every room with her smile. She was compassionate, smart, and intelligent, always ensuring there was never a dull moment whether she was shopping or hanging out with friends.
She is survived by her loving parents, Jennifer and Scott Bauman; her brother, Kaden Bauman; her grandfathers, Dan Bailey and Colin Bauman; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Makayla was preceded in death by her great-greatgrandmother, Pauline Casteel; great-grandmother, Wanda Johnson; grandmothers, Wanda Sue Bailey and Leslie Bauman; and aunts, Kristina Bauman; and cousin, Amber Kennington.
Makayla's joyful spirit and loving nature will be remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. A funeral service to celebrate Makayla’s life will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:30 AM.
Makayla will be laid to rest in New Crown Cemetery, Indianapolis. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital.
