October 6, 1933 - September 30, 2024

Philip passed away peacefully in his sleep, at the Pine Meadow Nursing Home in Northbrook on Monday, September 30, 2024 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Gladys (nee Burgess). Dear father of David (Karen) Platz of Kingston, Phyllis (Ellis) Kendrick of Kitchener and Loretta (Curtis) Grant of Denbigh. Cherished grandfather of Adam (Sarah), Nicholas (Jamie), Tracy (Jamie), Crystal (Dave), April (Ryan), Curtis Jr. (Melissa), Corey (Jessica) and remembered forever by his great-grandchildren Aubree, Isla, Georgia, Kylynn, Brooklyn, Bryson, Emily, Abby, Ceanna, Harmony, Colton, Carter, Paige, Owen, Logan, Lexi and Wyatt. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Kenneth (late Molly) Platz, Stanley (Elizabeth) Platz and by his sister Carleen (late Delbert) Jackson. Pre-deceased by his parents Carl & Esther Platz, his sisters Rebecca (late Glenn) Hartman, Gertrude (late Verner) Stein and June (late Gordon) Jackson. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends at St. Luke’s United Church in Denbigh on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 11am until the Celebration of Life Service at 12:30pm. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service at the Denbigh Community Hall before the interment of ashes at Vennachar Cemetery.
