KERR

James “Jim,” Jr., age 87, of Newtown Square went home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2024.

Born in 1936 in Bala Cynwyd, PA. He was the son of the late James and Mima Kerr.

Jim loved spending time in Fortescue, NJ where he spent much of his time on his boat fishing with family and friends. He also loved being around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jim enjoyed reading his bible and sharing his faith with others. Jim was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church in Upper Darby, PA. One of Jim’s most important missions in life was sharing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jim served in the Air Force for 4 years before joining his father’s family’s business, Modern Exterminating. He led his life serving the community for over 6 decades followed by his children and grandchildren.

Predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth “Betsy” (nee Barr), her son, James III (Linda), and his sisters, Elinore Kerr, and Ann Williams (Donald).

Survived by his children, William Scott (Karen), Deborah Earwood (David), and JoAnne Staunton (Christopher), his thirteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Relatives & friends are invited to his Visitation Saturday, October 5th 8:30 AM – 10:15 AM followed by his Funeral Service 10:30 AM ALL IN CHURCH at Bible Baptist Church 1237 Paoli Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.  Interment Private at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
