Catherine Basilicato, 96, of New Haven, passed away peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital on Monday, September 30, 2024. She was born in New Haven on January 11, 1928 a daughter of the late Felice and Emanuela D’Agostino Basilicato. Catherine was a talented dress maker by trade, working at both Baer’s Dress Shop and Robby Len for many years. A wonderful baker, she loved making holiday cookies, especially her pignoli which were enjoyed by family and friends. She is survived by her sisters Theresa Basilicato and Louise DePoto, sisters-in-law Patricia Basilicato and Madaline Basilicato and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Carraciolo and brothers Stephen, Dominic, Felice and Michael Basilicato.

Relatives and friends may visit with Catherine's family on Saturday October 5th from 9 to 10:00 a.m. in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Place, New Haven. A Catholic service will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
