Lawrence “Larry” C. Hamilton, 70, of Bryan, OH passed away at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana Monday, September 30, 2024. Larry was born December 9, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to Frederick and Natalie (Miller) Hamilton. In 1971, he graduated from Waite High School. Larry served in the United States Air Force and worked as a quality control inspector 31 years with Jeep, retiring in 2008. He was a sports enthusiast; cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Lions. He was a founding member and head coach of the Toledo Thunder Football Team. Larry will be remembered for his love of music and sense of humor.
Larry is survived by his children, Rebecca (Jeramy) Nobis and Anthony (Nancy) Hamilton; grandchildren, Jacob Nobis, Zachary (Annika) Nobis and Eleyna Hamilton; great-granddaughter, Halo Nobis; siblings, Fred Hamilton and Elizabeth Luce; along with many loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and wife, Maria.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, October 14, 2024 at 10:00 am in St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Road, Oregon, where the family will greet friends at 9:30 am. Interment: St. Ignatius Cemetery. Preferred memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice.
