Wade Ketron Obituary

Wade H. Ketron, age 88 of Ross, Ohio, passed away on September 30, 2024 at his home. He was born on February 7, 1936, in Knox County, Kentucky, the son of Gordon and Margaret (Valentine) Ketron. He graduated from Benham High School in 1954. He then joined the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Vietnam War. He retired after 21 years as a Senior Master Sergeant. He also directed the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Offices in Dayton and Cincinnati for 12 years. On June 2, 1955, he married his childhood sweetheart, Peggy Lewis in Jonesville, Virginia and together they raised two children. Wade loved his family and spending time with his beloved wife of 69 years. He loved golfing, fishing, traveling and gardening. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hamilton. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Ketron; two children, Sherri (Dan) Campbell and Greg (Cheryl) Ketron; seven grandchildren, Allison (Jason) Wallace, Jon (Virginia) Ketron, Jessica (Paul) Leland, Alex (Madalyn) Ketron, Anna Ketron, Sara Ketron, and Emily Ketron; three great grandchildren, Lena, Milo and Rowan; and many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Estill, James, Earl (Lela) and Bill Ketron. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon.
