Maureen “Chicky” Quinn, 63, of Hamden passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30th, 2024, at Yale New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael campus with her family by her side. Maureen was born in New Haven on August 22nd, 1961, and was the daughter of Anne DePaola Quinn and the late James F. Quinn. Maureen’s life revolved around her three grandchildren. She loved spending every minute she could crafting with them, taking them to parks or simply just talking and being with them. They were the lights of her life, and she loved them unconditionally. Maureen also enjoyed gardening, making jewelry and you could always find her driving around playing Pokemon Go.” Mother of Michelle Quinn (Justin Petersen) and James R. Quinn. Grandmother to the lights of her life Danamarie Quinn, Brianna Flynn and Gabriella Petersen. Sister of Robert Quinn (Susan) and James Quinn. Aunt of Mackenzie and Sean Quinn. Also survived by her longtime companion Richard Blakeslee.
The visiting hours will be Friday morning, Oct. 4th from 9:30 to 11:30 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Ave., North Haven at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
