Funeral Services for Mr. Ralph "Buck" Smith, age 73, of Alpine, Tennessee will be conducted 2 p.m., Friday, October 4, 2024, from the Speck Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. David Beaty will officiate. He will be laid to rest in the Smith-Sells Cemetery on the Family Farm. The family will welcome friends on Friday, from 10 a.m. until time of services at Speck Funeral Home.

Buck passed from this life on Tuesday morning, October 1, 2024, from Pickett Care & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Livingston, Tennessee on December 21, 1950, to the late Carl and Estell Smith. Buck was an avid University of Tennessee Sports fan. He enjoyed playing golf and going to NASCAR races. He took pleasure in his retirement from General Motors.

Buck leaves behind his brother Ronald Smith and wife Patricia of Alpine, TN; nephew Torrey Smith and wife Brooke of Arrington, TN; nieces Kendra Livingston and husband Gerald of Monroe, TN and Myra Carwile Thrasher and husband Josh of Livingston, TN; great-nephew Rocco Carwile; great-nieces Madison Smith and Ruby Livingston; and Neight Thrasher and Gabby Thrasher.

In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by his wife Helen Grace Smith, brother Randy Smith, sister-in-law Kathy Smith, and nephew Jacob Carwile. 

Pallbearers to serve are Charles "Chuck" Anderson, Torrey Smith, Josh Thrasher, Johnny Moore, Ray Stover, and Rocco Carwile.
