Robert Joseph Comartin Obituary

Passed away peacefully on May 12th at the age of 77. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife Judy McLean of 56 years. Loving father of Lisa (Doug) Ribble, Jenn (Phil Chapleau) and Steve (Kim). He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren Kevin, Samantha, Dylan, Jaimie, Alyssa, Avery, Sawyer, and Abbagail Chapleau, and his great granddaughter Wednesday. Predeceased by his parents Raymond and Eva Comartin. Dear brother of Lawrence (Marie) Comartin, Paul (Doris) Comartin, MaryJane Papineau and Claudette (Marvin) Ouellette. Brother in law of Wayne and Vicky Hallock and Richard and Patsy McLean. He will be dearly missed by all of his nieces and nephews. Robert was employed at General Motors for 38 years. After retiring he enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing and travelling with family and friends. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and devoted member of Visitation Parish where he played many roles. Most of all he enjoyed playing guitar in the choir, where he played for over 40 years. His beloved family, his friends and his Tim Hortons Gang will remember him fondly with all of those who came to know him. Cremation has taken place and a Visitation will be held at Visitation Parish, 5407 Comber Sideroad, Comber on May 21, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 AM with an Internment at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Donations to the Visitation Parish Building Fund would be much appreciated.
