Shirley Ann Hoffman, 89, of Saginaw, our loving, caring, gentle wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. Shirley was born on May 7, 1935, the daughter of the late Percy and Irene (Gail) Peterson in Saginaw, Michigan.

After 20 years of dedicated service, Shirley retired from Consumers Energy. John Hoffman and his family were blessed when Shirley joined their family. They were united in marriage on December 15, 2000. They enjoyed creating memories and spending 18 winters in Destin, Florida with many friends they made over the years.

Shirley leaves to carry her legacy to her husband, John; children, Michael (Beth) Jerome, Katherine (Michael) Woodrow, Chonntelle (Jerry) Allen, a bonus child, Mark (Lori) Hoffman, Steve (Lori) Hoffman, Lori (Rod) Armstrong and Luann (Tom) Gray; 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her siblings, Gerald Peterson and Harold Peterson.
