Keith E. McCormick, 98, of Allenwood, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024 at Valley View Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Montoursville.

Born February 4, 1926 in Elimsport, he was a son of the late William and Lois (Dunn) McCormick. On January 27, 1947 he married the former Leona L. Hakes, and together they celebrated 67 years of marriage until her passing in 2014.

Keith was a 1943 graduate of Montgomery High School. He honorable served during WWII in the Pacific Theater. For most of his life, Keith was self-employed as a sawmill operator. He also worked in the transportation department at Loyalsock Township School District.

Keith was a member of the American Legion Bower-Decker Post #251, Montgomery; Watsontown Masonic Lodge #401; Laurel Run Rod and Gun Club; and Valley of Williamsport Scottish Rite.

He was an avid hunter and wood worker. Keith enjoyed traveling with his family.

Surviving are a son, Dennis McCormick and his wife Kathy, of Roanoke, VA; four grandchildren, Tara and Bill Rank, Keith Taylor, Kimberly and Carrie McCormick, and Kyle McCormick; five great-grandchildren, Brein and Brandon Behrer, Corrine Bartlett, Emma, Finn, and Olivia McCormick; three great-great-grandchildren, Conner, Brooke, and Lauren Behrer; and a son-in-law, Tom Taylor, of Elimsport.

In addition to his parents and wife, Keith was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna J. Taylor; a brother, William S. McCormick; and three sisters, E. Jeanette Lynch, Norma Jean Gresh, and Eleanor Taylor.

There will be a memorial service held at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 26 at Elimsport United Methodist Church, 16145 PA-44, Allenwood, PA 17810, with Pastor David Shultz officiating.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
