Donna L. Sykora, 83, of Cashton, WI, went to her heavenly Father Monday, September 30, 2024, after a debilitating stroke, along with a long battle with bone cancer and multiple blood and heart issues.

Born June 5, to Floyd and Marcelline Holtet, in the map dot of Dell, WI, Donna was the third of six children. Her family moved from place to place over the years, settling in Kendall, Ontario, Wilton, Middle Ridge and Cashton areas. While living in Kendall area she met Richard Pesik, whom she married in 1957, at the age of 16. Their union produced one daughter, Susan, before his death in 1959. Shortly thereafter, Donna moved to Madison to make a life for herself and her daughter. While working as a waitress, she met James Sykora, in March of 1961. The two formed a wonderful and loving relationship and were married on December 2, 1961. One daughter, Donna Lea came from their union. Their marriage lasted for 29 years before Jim passed away on September 11, 1990.

Donna worked many jobs over the year and ended her career by working at the 1st Community Credit Union in Sparta, WI, for over 20 years before retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, quilting, and reading. Donna loved spending time with her two daughters, six grandchildren and her six great-grandchildren who were the loves of her life.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Susan (Pesik) Sykora-Pettijohn and daughter, Crystal (Anthony) Pumilia and their two children, Christian and Avalon; she is also survived by her daughter, Donna (Tim) Schaldach and their five children, Brittany Shaldach (Jeremy Ashline) and their son, Houston; Marisa (Jason) Clements and their two children, Avery and Bowdy; Emily (Nick) Wolf and their son, Oliver; Austin Shaldach and Aubri Shaldach; she is also survived by her sister, Marlene Flock and Cindy Preuss; along with other relatives and dear friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024, 2:00 pm at Torkelson Funeral Home of Cashton, WI. Family and friends are invited for visitation Saturday from 1:00- 2:00 pm. Following the 2:00 service there will be a time for everyone to gather and share memories and celebrate the life of Donna.
