Glenn, Obrey Ernest passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Monday September 30, 2024, in his 93rd year. Obrey will be deeply missed by his wife Marjorie Winters and her children Leonard, Bernice (the late Brian), Rosemarie (David), Lori (Stephen), Jennifer (Bill) and Debbie (Ken) and their families.
Born in Collingwood to parents David and Sarah Glenn, Obrey is survived by his sisters Aulda Dicker and Janet Acheson. He was predeceased by his sisters Leona Johnston, Beverly Glenn, Irla Haines, Rosalie Heintzman and brother Theodore Glenn. He will be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Obrey was a strong, hard-working man with a kind, gentle and welcoming heart. He loved tending to his gardens and playing board games. His family meant the world to him.
Family and friends will be received for visitation at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel on Friday October 4, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, 140 Maple St. Collingwood at 11 a.m. on Saturday October 5, 2024. Interment at First Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Obrey’s memory may be made to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital or Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House.
