Shirlie Dale Augustine, 86, of Nashville, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 29th, 2024,

surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on November 17th, 1937, in Nashville, MI, to Nelson and Geneva Brumm. Shirlie lived a life full of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

Affectionately known as "Maudie"; or "Grandma Maudie"; Shirlie was beloved for her quiet, reserved demeanor, warmth, and compassion. She enjoyed arts and crafts, often creating handmade gifts for family and friends. Shirlie cherished time with her children and grandchildren, frequently engaging in card and board games, including favorites like Uno, Rummikub, and Monopoly. She loved walking the beach in Venice, Florida, baking with her grandchildren, and traveling across the U.S. in her RV with her husband, Donald Augustine.

Shirlie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her love for her family

was the cornerstone of her life, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sister Janice Johnson, sister-in-law Audrey Deming, children Deanna “Dee”

Whitney (Mark), Sherry Ferrier (Brian), Steve Augustine (Anne), and Donna “Joby” Hummel.

Grandchildren Corie (Chad), Terrance (Beth), Michael (Alyssa), Devon (Jared), Sara (Tiffany), Holden

(Keliane), Dylan (Hope), Jesse, and Taylor. Great Grand Kids; Kenneth, Diesel, Alexander, Truman,

Monroe, Andora, Veda, Braedin, Gavin, Landon, Brynlee, Asher, and many nieces and nephews. She was

preceded in death by her parents, sister Anella Aurand, and husband of 66 years Donald.

A service to celebrate Shirlie’s life will be held on November 3 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Maple Grove

Community Building, 721 Durkee St, Nashville, MI. All who knew Shirlie and her family are invited to

attend.
