It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Thomas William Taylor, of Boca Raton and Palm Bay, Florida. Thomas was born on August 9, 2002, and passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident on Sunday, September 29, 2024, while headed to one of his favorite fishing spots to go Snook fishing.
Thomas is survived by his beautiful daughter Madeline Taylor Weber; his father Jimmy, his mother Karla; his brother James, his sister-in-law Lindsey; Madeline’s mother / Thomas’s significant other Jordan Weber; Nephew Jackson; Nieces Scarlett and Aurora; Grandmothers Marcella “Me-Ma” and Jacqueline “Gram-Jackie”; Uncles: Stanley, Eddie, Danny, Raymond, John, and Richie; Aunts: Debbie, Susan, and Dorothy; Cousins: SJ, Matthew, Christopher, Kevin, Erica, Crissy, Michael, Danielle, Jada, Alissa, Tara, Michael, Sean, Ian, Richard, and Kaitlyn. He is preceded in death by Great Grand-mother Bessie “Nana”, and his Grandfathers: Stanley “Pop-Pop” and Hans “Pappy Hans”.
Thomas had a heart of gold and would light up a room with his smile and laughter when he entered. People would take a liking to Thomas as soon as they met him with his outgoing, talkative personality and warm heart. Thomas had such a great passion for fishing, riding his ATV, and cooking, but what gave him the greatest pleasure was being with his daughter “Maddie”. Thomas was so looking forward to passing on his passion and skill of fishing to Maddie; He will be there with her in spirit to hear her say, “Tight Lines” and looking over her as her Guardian Angel.
By the time Thomas could hold onto a fishing pole, he was out fishing in lakes, canals, and the intercoastal waterways of Boca Raton and in streams and lakes in Pennsylvania with his mom. He loved to fish any chance he could get. As he got older, he progressed to fishing with his friends in the ocean off boats, piers, and the beach. Those who went fishing with him would be amazed at how many fish he caught. Thomas also loved to cook/grill and loved to “experiment” with different flavors and seasoning as he cooked. He loved to cook up the fish he caught and to share them with friends and family.
Thomas enjoyed working in the Movie Industry for the Construction and Electrical departments for IATSE local 477. He also worked doing pool construction and most recently was doing installation of awnings and assisting in building pergolas. His supervisors and co-workers would often share with his parents how gifted and skilled he was and always eager to learn new skills on the job.
Thomas’s passing has left such a hole in all our hearts, but we know God called him to be in Heaven as one of his Guardian Angels to watch over his family, and especially Maddie. We love you Thomas, to the end of the numbers. We rest in the assurance of knowing you are at peace, fishing to your hearts content in paradise and that we will see you again when we get to heaven.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6, at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton from 11am to 1pm, followed by a funeral service beginning at 1pm.
