Steve Paserba, 93, Conemaugh, died September 30, 2024 At home. Born April 18, 1931 in Johnstown son of Joseph and Catherine (Hranichny) Paserba. Preceded in death by parents; wife Mary (Reese); son, Daniel; brothers, John, Nicholas, Michael, Joseph, Andrew, Nick, and; and sisters, Pearl, Elizabeth, Mary Tay, and Anna Dubay. Survived by children, David (Pam Putt); Karen widow of Steve DeRubis and Lori (Ricky Hoak); 9 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren; and brother, Paul. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. Steve served as a US Army medic during the Korean Conflict. Friends received 8:30AM until 9:30AM Friday at Henderson-Makuchan Funeral Home, 434 First Street, Conemaugh. Funeral service will immediately follow at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church with Very Rev. Archpriest George Johnson officiating. Interment, church cemetery, where military rite will be conducted by Chas. Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Orthodox Church.
