Marshall Lee Young, a cherished husband, loving father, and beloved brother, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024, at his home in Nashville. Born on December 22, 1944, in Quitugua, Texas, to the late Marshall and Violet Brumley Young, Marshall's journey through life was marked by a warm heart and an unwavering dedication to his family.

Marshall's commitment to his family was evident in his enduring marriage of over 55 years to Barbara Gene Duckett Young, who stood by him as a partner and confidante through all of life's adventures.

Together, Marshall and Barbara raised their daughter, Sydney Lane Roberts, who inherited her father's strength and kindness. Marshall's legacy continues through Sydney, as she embodies the values he held dear. While Marshall's brothers Willie and Kenneth Young, and his sisters Kathy Cowling and Mae Queen have predeceased him, his memory will be kept alive by his surviving brother, Jimmy Young of Jonesboro, Arkansas. He also leaves behind his sister, Sharon, and her husband, Delmar Henderson of Nashville, along with Patricia and her husband, Blake Fairchild, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, who will miss their brother's guidance and laughter.

Marshall's life was also enriched by the presence of his sister-in-laws, Deb Young of Nashville and Barabra J. Young of West Memphis.

He found joy in the simple things, like settling in to watch a western or cheering on contestants in a game show.

Marshall spent many years as a truck driver and mechanic. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and dedication, someone who could always be relied upon for his expertise and a helping hand.

Rest in peace, Marshall Lee Young. Your life was a gift to us all.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 3:00 pm at County Line Cemetery under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home.
