Steven Spiers, 64, of Purvis, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Merit Health Wesley Hospital. A memorial service and gathering of family and friends will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Durbun Cemetery in Durbun, MS.

Steven is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. He had worked for many years at the Lumberton Feed Mill until its closing. In his spare-time he loved to play the guitar. He is preceded in death by his father, T. F. Spiers; a brother, Christopher Spiers; and a grandson, Ramon Dais.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Spiers of Purvis; a son, Alan (Sonyia) Brooks of Pelham, GA; one daughter, Lynn Brooks; mother, Wandee (Mario Hoffmann) Spiers of Columbia; three brothers, Michael (Kathy) Spiers of Bella Vista, AR,BJ (Jamie) Spiers of Houston, MS, Austin Spiers of Columbia, MS; three sisters, Susann Clark of Columbia, MS, Patsy (Jose) Romero of Arlington, TX, Nickie Bourn of North Kingston, RI; six grandchildren, Matthew Fillingam, Tyler Brooks, Austin Brooks, Tabetha (Jacob) Daniel Eddie Brooks, Jayden Brooks; one great-grandchild, Ellie Daniel; twenty-six nieces and nephews.
