Larry Joe Blocker, 72, of Jacksonville, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024. He was born June 19, 1952 to Arnold and Madeline Venable Blocker.

Larry was a graduate of Altheimer High School, then worked as a loader for crop dusters. He was fun loving and was close to his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Blocker, whom he married; son, Nathan Allen Blocker; sisters, Julie Stephens, Mattie Sweat, Mary Robertson and Patsy Boerner; brother, Doyle Blocker; and grandchildren, Maria Blocker, Heather Blocker and Nathan “Nate” Blocker.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Jimmy Blocker; and sisters, Carolyn Casteel and Sandra Arispe.

A graveside service will be 3:00 PM, Friday, October 4, 2024 at Flat Bayou Cemetery in Altheimer.
